Our mentors don't just teach theory - they share what's working right now.
How much time do I need to invest?
Around 10-15 hours total over the program duration. This includes running 3-6 sessions (1-1.5 hours each) plus time for preparation and reviewing applications.
How does a week in the life of a mentor look like?
Your week as a mentor is pretty manageable! You'll spend about 2-4 hours each week doing things like brainstorming ideas for your next session, putting together materials or activities for your group of 5-15 mentees, and actually running the mentoring session itself. Over the course of the program, you'll lead 3-5 sessions total with your group.
What support will I receive?
You'll attend a Mentor Kick-off Session with best practices and insights from previous programs. We also try to pair new mentors with experienced ones and provide ongoing support through our community. Additionally, you'll have access to dedicated channels where all mentors can ask for advice from each other, and our organizing team will be available whenever you need help.
Who can become a mentor?
Any Product Maker with valuable experience to share. You don't need to be senior level, everyone has unique insights and situations they've navigated successfully. We value diverse perspectives and experiences at all levels. You might excel at mentoring on specific skills or situations, regardless of your seniority.
What topics can I mentor on?
You can do that in two ways

How should I structure my track?
Design 3-6 practical sessions that balance content with interaction. Focus on real examples from your experience rather than pure theory, and leave time for discussions and exercises.

Can I set my own schedule?
Yes, you have flexibility to organize sessions with your selected mentees and fellow mentors. You can either propose fixed times or work together to find what works for everyone.
How do I select mentees?
You'll review applications and choose participants based on their fit with your topic, learning goals, and your preferred group size.
What if others want to mentor the same topic?
Great! You can collaborate and co-mentor a track together, which often creates richer content and shared responsibility. If you want to mentor alone, that is also an option.
Should I focus on theory or practical examples?
Practical examples work best. Share real experiences from your journey, both successes and failures. Use theory for context, but make most of your content practical and applicable.
